Aviogel
Precision firefighting for a greener future
The core of the technology relies on the use of hydrogel spheres, made from 100% biodegradable materials and designed to be released by aerial firefighting vehicles. When the spheres come into contact with liquids such as water, they quickly absorb them.
The increased weight of the spheres, resulting from water absorption, allows pilots to make more precise, ballistic drops from higher altitudes and in greater safety.
This helps counter the significant amount of water that often evaporates before reaching wildfires on the ground.
Additionally, the spheres contain a mixture of seeds and fertilizer, so with a single release operation, Aviogel not only fights fires but also initiates the reforestation process, contributing to the health of our ecosystems.
