Artes 4.0 – Business Lectures

As part of the Business Lectures series organized by the ARTES 4.0 Competence Center in collaboration with the University of Palermo and the University of Catania, Scientifica reaffirmed its role as a key player in the venture capital and deep tech technology transfer landscape.

The Lectio Magistralis, delivered by Simone Valorani (Head of Strategy & Operations at Scientifica), offered an analysis of the integration mechanisms bridging advanced scientific research, financial vehicles, and the industrial framework.

At the core of the session was one of the central challenges of deep tech innovation: turning research-driven technology into a clear, compelling project for investors and the market.

Key topics addressed during the lecture included:

  • Investment platforms and the technology lifecycle: an analysis of capital allocation criteria and financial models across various stages of technology readiness.
  • Enabling conditions for high-impact spin-offs and start-ups: defining the frameworks required to turn intellectual property into attractive business ventures for institutional investors.
