Omnics Research Group
Omnics Research is an interdisciplinary research group established in joint laboratories between the University of Salento, CNR and INFN. Omnics laboratories represent the Italian node of the European Infrastructure on Magnetism (EMFL-Isabel) and are part of the Italian Infrastructure for Innovative Research on Applied Superconductivity (IRIS).
Research areas range from physics to engineering, from life sciences to materials science, with a focus on spintronics and -onics and -omics technologies. At the facility, one can have access to instrumentation for (1) electrical characterizations from DC to 70 GHz even at low temperatures (down to 10 mK) and magnetic fields up to 10.5T; (2) advanced characterization of materials (magnetic, optical, electrical, and functional properties) by spectroscopic measurements and microscopy; (3) fabrication and optimization of sensors, detectors, biosensors, and lab on chip.
