R&D Cosmetic Formulation Chemist

With over 20 years of research experience, ExoLab Italia possesses pioneering abilities to create highly innovative products based on plant extracellular vesicles sourced from Italian organic farming, for Dermocosmetic, Nutraceutical, and Life Science applications.

The Cosmetic Formulation Chemist will work as part of a team and report to the R&D Director, supporting them in managing projects to develop optimal formulations for finished products and scientific dossiers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing and preparing samples of new formulations;
• Overseeing the prototyping of extracellular vesicle blends for various applications;
• Researching and selecting raw materials, as well as handling their documentary analysis;
• Managing stability and quality controls during production;
• Preparing and organizing documentation for product regulatory compliance;
• Creating content for trade fair illustrative materials;
• Supporting commercial activities in the cosmetics field

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or similar;
• At least 4 years of proven experience in the role;
• Knowledge of regulatory aspects of cosmetic formulation and the ability to independently use updated sources;
• Ability to autonomously schedule operational activities and coordinate laboratory tests;
• Excellent spoken and written English proficiency;
• Strong leadership and organizational skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
