R&D Project Manager

Scientifica Venture Capital – an investment holding company specializing in innovative technologies – is currently recruiting on behalf of its participated start-up, Libera Biotech, for the position of R&D Project Manager.

Libera Biotech combines scientific research and cutting-edge formulations to create a revolutionary technology aimed at the prevention and treatment of HPV infections.

The selected candidate will be part of the R&D team, overseeing and coordinating the design activities for both new and existing products. Additionally, they will be responsible for research and development projects, defining project specifications, overseeing implementation, and coordinating verification activities throughout all project phases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee research activities related to biotechnological projects, particularly natural lipid nanoparticles, with the aim of developing new technologies and products in the drug delivery sector;
  • Support the definition of resources and project budget management, based on priorities;
  • Manage the project in accordance with applicable industry regulations and standards, ensuring safety while meeting agreed-upon objectives in terms of time, cost, and quality;
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation related to laboratory research activities, including experimental reports, test protocols, and laboratory data, providing periodic updates to project managers and stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations and standards, adopting safe and compliant laboratory practices;
  • Create and manage interdisciplinary collaborations with research teams and other entities, such as universities, research centers, and companies, to promote innovation and accelerate the development process.

 

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology,
    Pharmacology, Nanotechnology, or related disciplines;
  • Previous experience in research and development of technologies based on lipid nanoparticles, with a deep understanding of design principles, characterization, and applications in the biomedical field;
  • Strong familiarity with independent laboratory work;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ previous experience in the role;
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills;
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Excellent cross-functional skills: creativity, precision, initiative, and flexibility are essential;
  • Good deadline management and workload management skills, with strong problem-solving abilities.
