Lazio Innova and Scientifica Venture Capital launch the first center for quantum technologies, located at the Tiburtino Technopole.

22 November 2023

A specialized center within the Tiburtino Technopole in Rome for scouting, valorization, and support for business projects and technology transfer actions in the field of Quantum Technologies and Space Economy.

The new structure, born from the synergies between Lazio Innova, an in-house company of the Regione Lazio, and Scientifica Venture Capital for scouting, will be the headquarters of Quantum Italia – a subsidiary of Scientifica Venture Capital entirely dedicated to quantum investments.
Its task will be to host and support start-ups funded by Quantum Italia, giving life to an ecosystem of avant-garde entrepreneurship and research.
“The launch of this center represents a fundamental step towards the realization of an internationally relevant technological and research hub in the field of quantum technologies,” said Roberta Angelilli, Regional Minister for Productive Activities of the Lazio Region.
“The Tiburtino Technopole,” she added, “is already a recognized center of excellence, with over 150 innovative companies. With the opening of this new center, the goal is to strengthen innovation and research processes.” In the headquarters of Quantum Italia, start-ups will not only benefit from funding but also from a network of experts and mentors in the quantum field, cutting-edge research laboratories and networking opportunities with leading companies and institutions. “Scientifica Venture Capital is excited about this collaboration with Lazio Innova,” said Riccardo D’Alessandri, Managing Partner of Scientifica Venture Capital “we firmly believe in the potential of quantum technologies and the talent of Italian start-ups. This center will host the operations of our Quantum Italia investment vehicle and will be a forge of disruptive ideas and projects and we are honored to contribute to its success.”

The inauguration of the center, scheduled for November, promises to consolidate Rome as a reference point in the national and European landscape of quantum technologies. As confirmation of this, from November 15 to 17, the center is the venue for an important international event involving experts in quantum technologies from around the world.
